1.        Are blowguns legal?
a.        Blowguns are legal to buy and sell. We ship from NC. It is strictly up
to the customer to know and obey their local laws.

2.        Are blowguns legal hunting weapons?
a.        Yes, blowguns may be used as legal hunting weapons in certain states;
however laws may vary depending on the type of game. It is up the customer
to know and obey all local laws which could vary drastically even from
city to city in the same state or county.

3.        Are the darts sharp?
a.        Yes- wire, spear, target, broad head, and bamboo darts of each caliber
are very sharp.

4.        Can the darts be sharpened?
a.        Yes, depending on the dart, a simple sharpening stone should suffice,
however the .625 bamboo darts dull quickly and are difficult to sharpen.

5.        What caliber blowgun is best for hunting?
a.        The Big Bore .625 caliber blowguns are definitely best to hunt small
game, even though some smaller calibers may be advertised as such. Be
mindful of dart choice and type of game if hunting because of the risk of
only injuring the animal.

6.        What is the max range of a blowgun?
a.        Range will depend on the user�s lungs, technique, blowgun caliber,
length, dart choice, wind and elevation.

7.        What is the most powerful blowgun?
a.        Power depends in large part on user lung pressure, however the larger
the caliber usually the more damage the dart will inflict.

8.        Are any specialty darts available for .625 caliber big bore blowguns?
a.        No, the only darts currently available for the .625 blowguns are
bamboo, mini-broad head, zytel broad head, razor tip broad head, and super
stun darts.

9.        What is the best dart choice for hunting?
a.        Hunting darts should be larger and sharper than target darts. Large
razor tip broad heads would be best for most types of hunting done with a
blowgun.

10.       What are blowguns made of?
a.        All of the blowguns on out site are made of tubular aircraft aluminum.
Some manufacturers may offer special finish or coating; however there is
not much difference in construction among different sizes, calibers, or
manufacturers.  Most accessories including mouthpiece, handle, quivers,
and caps are made of a hard plastic.

11.        Is one manufacturer better than another?
a.        Since the vast majority of blowguns are made with similar materials and
in almost identical ways, manufacturer choice should not make a
considerable difference. Cold Steel�s big bore .625 caliber blowgun is a
little different and would be considered the highest quality.
